1. Build a location-by-location inventory

For every site, record address, business function, users, hours, critical applications, voice needs, connections, providers, account and circuit identifiers, equipment, contract dates, support contacts, and recovery options. After implementation, keep ownership, circuits, phone numbers, equipment, contract milestones, and escalation paths current. Review changes and invoices regularly so disconnected services, unexpected quantities, missed credits, and surprise renewals do not accumulate.
